St. Nicholas in Urbana, IL

After today there are 15 days of school left. Three weeks. For most this will drag on and on. For me I’ll blink and it will be gone.

I’ve spent three school years at Yates Elementary. With my previous military life, continuity was not a thing. I learned to love fast and completely because of that lifestyle.

Now I have roots at Yates. Babies I’ve loved for three years. Who greet me with big hugs and “I love you.”

I’m infinitely excited to be moving to GA! I love being there. I love my GA family. But I will miss my Yates peeps.

Gains and losses.

God is good and Yates has been a good good gift for a season when I needed continuity.

I am so looking forward to Holy Unction tonight.
I am guessing I can't participate (not yet Orthodox), but I'm so excited to experience this part of Holy Week.
